FAQ

Can I bring my pet?

Yes! You are welcome to bring your well-behaved dog (or cat!) but we require that they remain on a leash while at the brewery. Don’t worry, our staff will talk with you if the furry friend is being disruptive to other guests.

Are children allowed?

Yes! We are a family friendly taproom. We offer root beer and lemonade on tap and have a variety of board games, books, and coloring supplies for guests of all ages. We do ask that parents supervise children at all times to ensure an enjoyable and safe environment for all.

Do you serve food?

At this time, we do not have a permanent food option onsite – however outside food, delivery or catered food is always allowed and encouraged.

Do you allow outside food?

Yes! Guests are welcome to bring in outside food. The town of Haymarket has many great restaurants that offer takeout and delivery. We keep an up-to-date list of options in the taproom. 

Do you have cans for sale?

Yes! We have 4packs to go for most beers on tap and also offer variety 4-packs as well.

Do you offer growlers?

Yes! Bring your own or purchase one of ours. We can fill growlers of any size and they don’t need to be Great Mane growlers.

When is last call?

Last call for onsite consumption is 20 minutes prior to closing.

Do you allow outside alcohol?

No! Per Virginia ABC laws and regulations, you may not bring outside alcohol in the taproom. This includes open or closed containers of any kind (beer, wine, liquor, or mixed drinks).

I don’t like beer, do you serve anything else?

We think we can change your mind with our menu but we also offer Hard Seltzer, house-made root beer and lemonade, as well as canned sodas and juice boxes.

Can I host an event in the taproom?

We love to accommodate your special gathering and have a first come, first served seating policy in our taproom. If you have a large group you’d like to bring, please let us know ahead of time so we can have proper staffing in place.

Do you have a mug club?

Mug Club at Great Mane Brewery is the brainchild of a group of passionate regulars that was formally adopted in 2023. 

IYKYK, the club comes with a lot of perks: discounts, merch, exclusive events, priority access to new beers, and a community of like minded customers. 

Each fall, we send an open invitation to join the mug club. To be first to know when the Club is open for new members ask the taproom staff in November and December
